The Smell of Books

Books all have a smell. Is that part of what draws us in? Or is it just a reminder of days stuck in school pouring over textbooks? For quite a while, book smells never really got me. Books smelt a certain way, I didn’t hate it, but didn’t breathe deep into the book and smile.... Continue Reading →

Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag 2018

Having only read just over 10 books this year makes it very hard to find variation for my answers. Bear with me… Best book you've read so far in 2017? Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bargugo. I hate to sound like so many other readers out there, but I loved this duology... Continue Reading →

Vicious – V.E. Schwab

Wow! I love reading books that are able to give me so many emotions, in particular anticipaton. This book was awesome! Victor and Eli find out how to create superhuman abilities. And why not see where trying will take you? Becoming archenemies probably wasn’t on the agenda, but come one, why not? Fantastic characters, storyline,... Continue Reading →
